Murray Dairy’s Young Dairy Network will host its annual end-of-year celebration in Echuca with two guest speakers.
The annual event on Friday, December 11, will bring together young farmers, dairy employees and the dairy service sector from across the Murray Dairy region to network and enjoy a social night out.
Australian actor, comedian, writer and television and radio personality, Lawrence Mooney, will entertain guests at the event.
Best known as the host of his own show on ABC TV, Dirty Laundry Live, Mr Mooney was also the winner of Best Show at the Sydney Comedy Festival 2015.
Rochester dairy farmer Tom Acocks will be the second guest speaker, providing insights on his pathway and the developments that have led to his success.
Mr Acocks is heavily involved at an industry level and renowned for his contribution to the industry.
Murray Dairy’s Young Dairy Network was established to meet the needs of the younger generation of dairy farmers, employees and service providers.
‘‘It is really important young dairy farmers know about the opportunities and services available and even more important that they join in and participate,’’ co-ordinator Sarah Thompson said.
‘‘Investing in professional and personal development of young people in the dairy industry and the service sector will help ensure profitable businesses and capacity and capability for the future.’’
