One of Australia’s most significant dairy events, the 14th annual Australian Dairy Conference, will be held in Shepparton next year.
The conference will run over four days from Monday, February 15 to Thursday, February 18.
Rochester dairy farmer and conference programming committee chair Tom Acocks said the speakers were being selected from Australia and abroad.
Mr Acocks said the speakers would discuss topics that would leave the audience ‘‘informed, enthused and with a tool kit of ideas and philosophies to take back to their dairy farm businesses’’.
He said the Australian Dairy Conference board believed the event would take dairy conferencing to a new level.
With the event being held in Shepparton, visitors would have an opportunity to experience one of the country’s ‘‘most prolific and intensely populated dairy regions,’’ he said.
Organisers are expecting a large crowd, with more than 500 dairy businesses within several hours of the conference facility.
Mr Acocks said they were proud of the conference agenda, which they saw as an ideal combination of high level thinking and practical on-farm, take-home information.
